Bangalore: Serial Killer Mohan Kumar Charge Sheeted in 11 Cases

Bangalore, Mar 28: The CID has charge sheeted Mohan Kumar, the serial-killer from Dakshina Kannada district, in 11 cases out of 18 cases of murder that came for investigation.
The CID officials took Mohan Kumar into custody for interrogation and during the interrogation Mohan Kumar had stated that he had killed many more women that details of ehich he has forgotten.
Acting on the information, CID officials verified all the cases of unnatural deaths of young woman reported in various police stations of southern Karnataka during the years 2004 to 2009. During such verification a case of unnatural death of a young women in KSRTC bus stand, Mysore in January 2006 was noticed and after the investigation the identity of the dead woman was established as Arathi Naik (22), daughter of Rama Naik and resident of Padre village, Kasargod Taluk, Kerala.
Arathi’s father was soon contacted and he identified the photo of his daughter. He also stated that he had also filed a missing complaint. In this connection a case of murder was also registered in Lashkar police station of Mysore against Mohan Kumar as per the complaint of Rama Naik
It is likely that there are many other women who have fallen victims to Mohan Kumar and hence it is requested that parents or guardians of young women who have gone missing in the district of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu and Kasargod during the years 2004-09 may please contact K P Bheemaiah, superintendent of police, H&B Squad, CID, Bangalore, stated Dr D V Guruprasad, director general of police, COD, training, special units and economic offences, Bangalore in a release .
