Bangalore: Serial Killer Mohan Kumar Charge Sheeted in 11 Cases

Bangalore, Mar 28: The CID has charge sheeted Mohan Kumar, the serial-killer from Dakshina Kannada district, in 11 cases out of 18 cases of murder that came for investigation.

The CID officials took Mohan Kumar into custody for interrogation and during the interrogation Mohan Kumar had stated that he had killed many more women that details of ehich he has forgotten.

Acting on the information, CID officials verified all the cases of unnatural deaths of young woman reported in various police stations of southern Karnataka during the years 2004 to 2009. During such verification a case of unnatural death of a young women in KSRTC bus stand, Mysore in January 2006 was noticed and after the investigation the identity of the dead woman was established as Arathi Naik (22), daughter of Rama Naik and resident of Padre village, Kasargod Taluk, Kerala. 

Arathi’s father was soon contacted and he identified the photo of his daughter. He also stated that he had also filed a missing complaint. In this connection a case of murder was also registered in Lashkar police station of Mysore against Mohan Kumar as per the complaint of Rama Naik 

It is likely that there are many other women who have fallen victims to Mohan Kumar and hence it is requested that  parents or guardians of young women who have gone missing in the district of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu and Kasargod during the years 2004-09 may please contact K P Bheemaiah, superintendent of police, H&B Squad, CID, Bangalore, stated Dr D V Guruprasad, director general of police, COD, training, special units and economic offences, Bangalore in a release .

      I say this man does not belong to a community - he is inhuman. Do you still argue that he belongs to a particular community and my comments are against that community ? So, who is taking sides here ? Me, or you ?

      I liked the Lydia Lobo's "clean suggested comments" which is very much TRUE and hard to digest for some kind of DIRTY MINDED people. Itz human nature and itz happens.This serial killer is a BORN CRIMINAL show him NO MERCY ATTITUDE.

      On Saturday October 24, 2009 this Monster tried to commit suicide. Don't hang him, but, give him such a life to live, he should regret why he was born. Death will free him from all sufferings. Don't give him that freedom.

      My dear Ibrahim mulki/Riyad,here are some clarification to you,I think you do not know how many mass weddings taking place in hidu religion....even recently DAIJI has published one nice mass wedding report held at Poojalakatte I remember,secondly what is the population ratio of hidus/muslims/christans in India?
      Thirdly temples/churches can be built in India,it is not possible in middle east.
      By building temples,indirectly how many families are benifitted? how many people are employed or engaged or how many families are earning thier daily bread,I think u have no calculation.do not think that by building a temple society harmony will be disturbed or communial voilance happens...it is all happening because of low education level or illitracy.

      People congratulated the DK Police for the great efforts in capturing this monster, only after he committed countless crimes and the worst part is that he says that he has actually committed more than what was report and he cannot remember since he has forgotten so many crimes, and here we are congratulating the police, it was their effort less blunder that made this man do the same again and again since nobody took any big action against him, anyway I think the DK police should speed up their actions and hang this man in public before the people of this state’s trust ends with the police and they take the law in their own hands and I should say that this man is safer with the police than with the citizens of DK of Karnataka State.

      Don't beat the bush - come straight to the point. Nobody is castigating Mohan Kumar because he is from a particular community. The public anger was intense because without investigating reason for the disappearance of girls, it was branded 'love-jihad'. You may remember certain Swami too participated in the protests. A criminal is criminal irrespective of his name being Narayan or Abdul or D'Souza.

      And, the girls or their families have our sympathy because they belong to poor groups, remained unmarried for not being able to meet dowry demands.

      Very sad and innocent girls loose their life's, there are dowry system in our region it's bad, weather it be a Muslim, Hindu or christian, but why this Hindu organization's or government are not helping  these poor girls instead of spending crore's to build temples and communal violence, i know there are Muslim & Christian Org's are holding mass wedding and helping to poor girls to get education & marriages, why these so called Hinduthwa group's are not interesting in betterment of their own community poor's,, Very sad

      I am very sorry to see this face again,any way it is India all chancess will be given to aquist to defend his case...we are not in islamic rule,this is called world largest Indian democracy.in the mean time mohan kumar is a perfect killer like abdul naraya d'souza,so police could not suspect him immediatly, took time to suspect this criminal more than 6 years,by the time unfortunatly many inocent girls lost their lives on welknown reason.

      I mean to say suspect is not a crime or offence, without suspect how the break through is possible?so one or the other day criminals/any organisation which is indulged in illegal activities definetly come under the law....so here the question does not araise mohan kumar belongs to which community,totally he is like abdul narayan d'souza.

      According to some communal leaders, Hindu girls missing from love jihad by Muslim youths, for your information from total of your missing deduct Mohan Kumar’s list. Future you will get like this some more Mohan Kumars then you can again deduct finally Love Jihad account will be Zero. Think before blaming to others blindly.

      Better late than never goes the saying and it applies to our Police Dept. in this case. Certain people had suspected 'Love-Jihad' but it turned out that their own sheep had been the wolf.

      I sympathise with the parents who lost their daughters. Yet, a question remains is why did their daughters choose to elope with this man - was it because he was ready to marry them for no dowry ? Then, dowry indeed is one such culprit that we developed and is now haunting us.
