All Karnataka Jain Sangh Celebrates Mahaveer Jayanti

Mumbai, Mar 29:
The All Karnataka Jain Sangh-Mumbai, celebrated Mahaveer Jayanti at Madhwa Bhavan, Pejavar Mutt, Santa Cruz (East), on Sunday March 28. 
 
Pandit Vardaman Dhanapal Upadya Jain performed various Vedic rituals while community women conducted ‘Jina Bhakti Geetha’. 

 
All Karnataka Jain Sangh–Mumbai president B Muniraj Jain presided over the stage programme.
 
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Bhagawan Mahaveer has set an ideal for mankind to lead life with non-violence and self awareness of truth.  Meanwhile, he urged the community to unite in surging ahead economically by availing the benefits as the state had approved minority status to Jain community. 
 
Chandan Jain Moodbidri, K Balachandra Bhavat, Prasanna Kumar Jain , former president Adiraj Jain, vice-president Vatsala Ariga, honorary secretary Namiraj Adikari, and treasurer P Anantharaj were present on the dais.
 
Vani Vaidya, joint treasurer Vardaman Jain, Pavananjaya Ballal, Sampat Kumar Jain, Loknath Jain, Sanath Kumar Jain, Udaya Adikari Wadala, Padmaraj Jain, Jaya V Jain, and Veena Pushparaj Ajila were present on the occasion.
 
Chandan Jain group conducted the Bhajan.  Sanath Kumar Jain compered the programme while Loknath Jain proposed the vote of thanks.
