Udupi, Sep 5: A case has been lodged by an entrepreneur after customers who bought electrical goods made a small part of the payment for them and hurled expletives and posed death threats to the entrepreneur when he asked for remaining payment.
Tanvir Ahmed, is running Horizon Trading Company, an electrical business as its managing director. Accused Sathish Govinda Poojary and Ritu, customers of the shop had bought electrical items worth Rs 1,18,870 from it. However, they had made cash payment of only Rs 10,567 for them when they took away the goods and issued a cheque for Rs 1,08,567. The cheque when deposited has bounced for lack of funds in the account.
The customers who have cheated the businessman have hurled expletives saying that they cannot pay the money and posed death threats when Tanvir asked for remaining payment. A police case under registration No. crime 81/2020 under IPC sections 420, 406, 504 and 506 is registered in Udupi town police station on the basis of complaint received from Tanvir Ahmed.
