Sushant's sister makes a new promise after 'failing' to protect him

Mumbai, Sep 7 (IANS): Shweta Singh Kirti has shared a throwback photo of her and late brother, Sushant Singh Rajput. She says she failed to protect her brother, but promises to get him justice.

Shweta took to her verified Instagram account and posted a childhood photo of her and Sushant. She posted another photo of Sushant with a text saying #SatyagrahForSSR.

"We promised each other that we will protect each other forever. But, I failed Bhai...I failed! But here is another promise I and the whole country make to you, we will find the truth, we will get you justice!I knew my brother, the kind of person he was, full of life and joy," she wrote as caption.

For her, he was like a child who only wanted love and that small gestures like talking with love made him happy.

Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14. Many linked his death to "depression", suggesting that he took his own life. But his family has been strongly against this theory.

"He was not a person who would take his own life. My heart is not ready to believe it," wrote Shweta.

Sushant's death has sparked a debate on nepotism and drug menace in Bollywood. The CBI is currently looking into the cause of his death.

"Let's keep our intentions clear, we want to know what is the cause of Sushant's death, nothing less will suffice! It is Satya ka Agrah, #SatyagrahForSSR," she concluded.
