Bengaluru, Sep 9: Angered by questions raised by the Congress leaders about the actresses linked with drugs racket having campaigned for the BJP, the BJP has now sought clarification from the Congress leaders about them being in the company of such actresses. The BJP has released pictures in which these actresses are found with the Congress leaders.
In a tweet, the BJP said that cine actors and actresses can be seen in the company of the leaders of different political parties. It termed as ridiculous the efforts made by the Congress leaders to project as if these actresses had links with the BJP. "The drugs case is under probe. The BJP government has acted strictly against the menace of drugs. But the Congress party, which made unfounded allegations, is also trying to mislead the investigation. What do the Congress leaders have to say about the pictures of their leaders found in the company of lead actresses," it questioned.
The Congress, which had released a picture in which actress Ragini Dwivedi, was found to be campaigning for a BJP candidate, satirically asking the BJP to take strict steps against drug peddlers. The BJP has now hit back, duly tagging the pictures of D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah in the company of Ragini and Sanjana.
