Mumbai, Apr 2: On the occasion of Good Friday, April 2, Christians from all over the metro observed fast in memory of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on this day. They observed the day, duly preserving the sanctity of the occasion, by taking part in the religious programme, Way of the Cross, in various churches spread over the city.

Christians hailing from the undivided Dakshina Kannada district and other places, who have settled down in the city, also took part in Way of the Cross programme and offered their prayers.

The Way of the Cross ritual of the Infant Jesus Church, Jogeshwari (east) suburb in the metro, was led by the chief priest of the church, Fr Richard Crasto (Brahmavar, Udupi), and assistant priests, Fr Nelson Saldanha and Fr Norbert D’Souza, along with Bro Derek Cutinho, Bro Leo Fergus and the sisters of the Society of Helpers of Mary.
