Mangalore: Wakf Board Begins Issuing Haj Pilgrimage Applications

Mangalore, Apr 2: The process of issuing Haj application forms for those desirous of taking up this holy pilgrimage this year, was inaugurated on Thursday April 1 at the office of the district Wakf  Committee.

District Wakf Committee chairman, Yenepoya Mohammed Kunhi, symbolically inaugurated the process by handing over an application to a candidate. District Wakf Committee vice chairman, M H Iqbal, and committee member, S M Rashid, were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Kunhi said that the applicants need to remit Rs 200 in State Bank of India and  the duly filled in form along with their passport size photograph, challan and a true copy of the passport, should be sent to Karnataka State Haj Committee, Richmond Circle, Richmond Road, Bangalore – 560 025 to reach them before April 30. Applications are available in the district Wakf office, he added.
