Kundapur, Sep 11: “The relentless efforts since the rural development project came to the taluk in 2004 has helped the taluk in a major way. 3,455 teams are successfully working in Kundapur. The project that provides all the facilities should not be forgotten,” said Basrur Mahalingeshwara temple managing trustee, B Appanna Hegde. He was speaking after distributing taluk level green fuel programme tools provided by Dharmastala Rural Development Project, B C Trust Kundapur and the Federation of Pragatibandhu Swasahaya Sanghagala Okkoota.
“We have distributed jasmine plants today as flower cultivation should be adopted by people. We should opt for green fuel and protect the environment,” he said.
Pragatibandhu Swasahaya Sanghagala Okkoota central committee president Shobha Chandra presided over the programme.
Selco solar tools, Greenway cookstoves and jasmine plants were distributed to members. 100 Ayushman Bharath Karnataka cards were distributed to elder members of the sangha.
Senior project officer of the taluk, Muraleedhar K Shetty welcomed the gathering. Taluk agriculture officer Chetan Kumar compered the programme. Zonal supervisor Uday rendered the vote of thanks.
