Mysuru, Sep 14: In an incident which happened in Kethupura village of the district on Saturday, September 12, 10 young men armed with sickles and clubs murdered a man. They were angry that the youth objected to performing a dangerous scooter wheeling stunt in front of his house.
The victim of the incident was Siddaraju (26), son of Krishna Gowda, a native of Kethupura. At around 8 pm on Saturday, some young men were doing wheeling stunts using a scooter in front of Siddaraju's house. Siddaraju's mother, Kanaka, objected to this and advised the young men not to perform these dangerous stunts in front of their house as there are small children.
Angered by the advice, 10 youngsters attacked Siddaraju, his wife, and brother with sickles and sticks. Siddaraju filed a police complaint. Angered by the complaint, Subhash, Chandan, Puneeth, Vijay, Ravi, Mahendra, Chandu and others attacked Siddaraju when the family was asleep at night. Kanaka filed a complaint in Bannur police station. The police who have registered a case are trying to arrest the culprits.
