Mangalore, Apr 8: The Mangalore Association of Travel Agents will hold an interaction programme on tourism development in the presence of deputy commissioner, tourism department and other concerned officials at the Corporation Bank Executive Meeting Hall, Pandeshwar here on Friday April 9.

The main purpose of organizing the meet is to interact with the general public related to tourism industry, collect the feedback, problems faced by the tourism industry, measures taken to solve the problems, to create awareness in the people about tourism, and how to increase the inflow of tourist traffic to Coastal Mangalore.

The programme will focus on coastal and eco tourism, pilgrimage tourism, wellness tourism, cultural tourism consisting of discussions on opportunities, problems faced by the investors, popularizing home stays concept in eco tourism and so on.                                                       

Being the stake holders the travel agents, airlines, tourism related institutions, hoteliers, home stay and resort owners, temple trustees, church trustees, mosques trustees, hospital managements, educational intuitions, mall owners, local builders, corporate companies and others related to tourism industry  can share their views, ideas and thoughts to enable the association to take suitable measures to improve and implement the ideas as well as do away with bottle necks in tourism operations in the district.
