Beltangady: Taluk CPI (M) Participates in ‘Jail Bharo’ Call

Hundreds of CPI (M) activists were arrested here on Thursday April 8, after they staged a protest at the taluk office opposing the increase in prices of essential commodities. 



The protest was staged as part of the basis of nationwide ‘Jail Bharo’ protest called by the politburo. 
 
The taluk CPI (M) secretary Shiva Kumar, B M Bhat, Haridas, Shyam Raj, Jayaram Mayya, Parameshwar Nair, Sukanya, Sundari Kuthloor, Shekar Ninnikal, and hundreds of party activists were arrested.
