Udupi: Zonal Conference of Rotary International District on Apr 10

Udupi, Apr 9: ‘Sambandha 2010’, a zonal conference and awards nite function of Rotary International District, Zone II, will be held at Parkala High School, here on Saturday April 10.

State home minister Dr V S Acharya will be the chief guest for the occasion. RI 3180 district governor Dr K Ravi Appaji, Rtn PHF Jnana Vasantha Shetty, DG-elect 2010-11, Rtn PHF M Manjunatha Upadhya, assistant governor RI District 3180 Zone II, and Rtn Dinakar Shetty Herga, president of Udupi Municipal Council will be the other guests.

The conference will be presided over by Rtn Dinesh Hegde Athrady, president of Rotary Parkala. Dr K P Puthuraya, professor, International Medial College, Bangalore, will deliver the keynote address.

On the occasion, Dr Acharya will also inaugurate a newly constructed toilet complex at the school, which has been built at a cost of Rs 4.5 lac by Rotary Parkala under the Matching Grants Scheme with the cooperation of Udupi Rotary.
