Mangalore: Mayor Showers Praises on Kulal Sangha for Supporting Youngsters

Mangalore, Apr 12: City mayor, Rajani Dugganna, appreciated Dakshina Kannada Jilla Moolyara Yane Kulalara Sangha (Regd) for the appreciable services being rendered by it to the society by encouraging youngsters. She was speaking at a function organized by the Sangha to felicitate the newly elected city mayor, deputy mayor and chairpersons of the standing committees at the Town Hall here on Sunday April 11.

“I am happy that the Sangha leaders did not confine the felicitation only those who belong to their caste. By organizing such programmes, the communities get an opportunity to come together and work unitedly. The social service organizations should continue to recognize and honour the achievers and encourage them to work with added zeal,” she advised.

In addition to the mayor, deputy mayor, Rajendra Kumar, standing committee chairpersons, Roopa D Bangera, Sudhir Shetty, Diwakar and Shanta R were felicitated. Bantwal agriculture and water resources development officer, Dr Jayaraj Prakash, presided.

Convener of Swadesh Jagran Manch, J R Bangera, Huchchappa from Bangalore, entrepreneur Saundarya Ramesh, Pushpa Sadanand, Dr Annaiah Kulal, Dr Swapna Kulal, Chandrappa Moolya, Kumare Gowda, Chenne Gowda and several other leaders were present.

Various units of the Kulalara Sangha like Ullal, Faragipet, Kulai, Kolya, Suratkal etc., presented cultural programmes before the felicitation.
