Kuwait, Sep 29: Indian Social Forum (ISF), here, Karnataka Chapter, a socio-cultural organization of Indians in the city arranged its second successful blood donation camp on Friday September 25 from 1 pm to 7 pm at Kuwait Central Blood Bank located at Jabriya. The first mass blood donation camp was held on September 11 at Al Adan Blood Bank of Kuwait.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Jarrah Hammoud Al Dafiri, managing director of Al Dafiery Real Estate Company and owner of Metro Super Markets Kuwait in the presence of ISF Karnataka president Mustaqeem Shiroor and general secretary Ashfaq Hussein. Speaking on the occasion, Dafiri explained the importance of blood donation and said it was a unique opportunity for the donors to donate their blood to save lives.
ISF Karnataka members, under the guidance of its executive body dedicated themselves volunteering camp activities by adhering to MOH-Kuwait COVID guidelines and social distancing. ISF Executive body also expressed their utmost gratitude to all the donors for their humanitarian spirit and were greeted with a token of appreciation. 250 units of blood were collected in these two camps. The camps were very much appreciated by the authorities of Kuwait Central Blood Bank.
On this occasion, Dr Asma Raafat Mohammed, Jabriya mobile Blood bank supervisor lauded and thanked ISF for taking this initiative and conducting this noble cause. Dr Eman Ibrahim Ghabbour, Central blood bank was present on the dais. Thameem Moosa Ullal, vice president of ISF Karnataka presented the vote of thanks at the conclusion.
Indian Social Forum (ISF) keeps organizing such blood camps and medical checkups at regular intervals and strives to support the expats in this noble cause. ISF has been extremely active in organizing several such camps in the past too.
