Abu Dhabi, Sep 29: Kannada Mitraru UAE is a voluntary organization founded in the UAE in 2014 to encourage and promote the homeland culture, heritage and languages of Karnataka in this foreign land.
The organization run by 60 volunteers mainly contributes toward Kannada language literacy of nonresident Kannadiga children residing here.
In the last academic year, Kannada Paatha Shaale Dubai (KPSD) successfully taught Kannada to over 210 students. For the forthcoming year, it is prepared to launch their own Learning Management System software developed internally by their IT team. “The formal launch of the online Kannada teaching classes will be launched on November 6 inviting all the supporters, parents and other dignitaries from across the globe,” as stated by Shashidhar Nagarajappa the president of Kannada Mitraru UAE.
Preference will be given to the last batch of students for admission to the new batch. For the sake of continuity, the classes will run for six months every Friday. “Since the motto of the organization is to serve the Kannadigas and spread Kannada literacy, it is always done free of cost,” said KPSD’s vice president Siddalingesh B Revappa.
