Udupi: ‘Bhandavya–2010’ Championship for Moodbidri Billava Sangh

Udupi, Apr 14:
Billava Sangh, Moodbidri, bagged the overall trophy at ‘Bhandavya – 2010’, a state-level sports meet held at Rajeev Gandhi stadium, Bastipadpu, on Tuesday April 13. 

The sports meet was organized in association with Yuvavahini central committee, Mangalore, and Hejamady Yuvavahini unit, for the members of Billava Sangh and Yuvavahini members. Haleyangady Yuvavahini team were the runners-up.

 
Kaup Yuvavahini women’s team bagged the trophy in the finals against Moodbidri Yuvavahini team in the throwball competition.  Kaup Yuvavahini team were the runners-up.
 
Udupi Yuvavahini unit bagged the first place in men’s tug-of-war competition and Udyavar Billava Mahajan Sangh secured the second place.
 
Udupi Yuvavahini unit bagged the first place in women’s tug-of-war competition and Hejamady Billava Sangh secured the second place.
 
Shubalaxmi Moodbidri (first) and Bhavya Kaup (second) won the women’s shot-put competition.
 
District Kabaddi and Body Builders Association president Sudarshan H inaugurated the sports meet.
 
Jayaram Karandoor, president, Yuvavahini central committee, Mangalore, Padubidri Billava Sangh president Sudhir, and entrepreneur Mahabala Poojary Kadandodi were present during the concluding ceremony.
