Bantwal: ‘Delhi Chalo’ by Anganawadi Workers on May 4

Bantwal, Apr 14: ‘Delhi Chalo’, a programme will be organized, demanding the  fulfillment of various needs of more than 1.22 lac Anganawadi workers on May 4”, said State Anganawadi Workers Association general secretary S Varalakshmi.

Speaking at the press meet in B C Road recently, she condemned the apathy shown by the central and state government towards Anganawadi workers. She also alleged that the food items supplied to these workers are not in good condition. The Akshaya Patre, Aam Admi plans are not up to the mark, she added. 

The protest will demand the extension of all facilities provided to Anganawadi workers. Anganawadi association district president Ravi Kala, district advisor B M Bhat and district secretary Sukanya among others were present at the press meet.
