Mangaluru, Oct 3: Policemen of Kadri station here have succeeded in arresting a person accused of being involved with the theft of a number of motorbikes from various places falling under the jurisdiction of different police stations.
The arrested Charanraj (20) hails from Panjimogaru Urundadigudde. A motorbike valued at Rs 96,000 was confiscated from his possession. The police said that Charanraj, along with Sumanth and Vinay had stolen motorbikes at night in 2018 and had sold the stolen bikes. Splendor motorbikes from near A J Hospital, Yeyyadi and other places. The other accused Vijay is absconding.
The operation was conducted by Kadri police inspector Pavitra Teja in association with sub-inspectors, Anita Nikkam and Jnana Shekhar under the leadership of assistant commissioner of police M Jagadeesh and directions of deputy commissioners of police Arunangshugiri and Vinay Gaonkar, and guidance of city police commissioner Vikash Kumar.
