Mangaluru, Oct 6: “Yoga alone can control sicknesses and strengthen our nerves. Regular Yoga practices can relieve our mental tension and illnesses,” said Dr Prabhaker Bhat Kalladka, president of Kalladka Srirama Vidyakendra. He spoke in a concluding programme of a ten-day-long free yoga camp held by Gurooji of Dhee Shakthi Jnana Yoga at Tulu Sahitya Academy auditorium in association with Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and Rotary Club of Mangaluru central committee.
“Pranayama has the capacity to cure illnesses that cannot be cured by medicines. It can control human anger. Astanga Yoga brings about charm. Yoga can make a person strong despite consuming less food. More than 190 countries have relied on Yoga. We can change our modern lifestyle, eat food in moderation, do Yoga exercises and can remain healthy,” opined Dr Prabjhaker Bhat Kalladka.
Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy president Dayananda Kattalsar chaired the programme. Former member of Vidhan Parishat, Captain Ganesh Karnik, assistant governor Rotarian Anand Shetty, former governor Rotarian Dr Devadas Rai, Jayalaxmi Shetty, Tulu Sahitya Academy member Shashidhar Shetty, Chetak Poojary and others were present.
Gurooji who conducted the camp for the last ten days was felicitated by Dr Prabhaker Bhat Kalladka presenting fruits, flowers and a shawl.
