Bantwal, Oct 6: The newly approved Daddalakadu Government English Medium High School section was inaugurated on Tuesday.
Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadiguthu inaugurating the section said that competition rises along with convenience. “The current students have the opportunity to compete on an international level. Durga Charitable Trust has enabled such a facility for students of Daddalakadu village. The school has grown as a model school under the leadership of Prakash Anchan and with the cooperation of the villagers. Prakash Anchan has dedicated selflessly toward the development of the school for the future of the students,” he said.
Prakash Anchan, president of Durga Charitable Trust which has adopted the school in his introductory address appreciated the efforts of MLA Rajesh Naik for getting approval for the English medium section. He requested for a government package for the school auditorium and Akshara Dasoha building.
Durga Charitable Trust donated two buses to the Daddalakadu school and one bus to Kookrabettu Government School, Beltangadi taluk. The MLA handed over the bus keys to the school heads. A request was submitted to DDPI for funds for pending works and Akshara Dasoha building and teachers for the high school.
Taluk panchayat president Chandrahas Karkera, vice-president Abbas Ali, Padmavati B Poojary, Booda president Devadas Shetty, DDPI Malleswamy, block education officer Jnanesh, BJP Bantwal committee president Devappa Poojary, high school section in charge headmistress Anitha, primary school section headmaster Maurice D’ Souza, SDMC president Ramachandra Poojary and others were on the dais. The high school section executive president Purushotham Anchan compered the programme.
