UAE to Discuss Women and Child Rights


Abu Dhabi, April 19 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will hold this week in Abu Dhabi its first meeting on protecting the rights of women and children.

Over 150 people from ministries, governmental departments, civil society as well as researchers and experts will gather Wednesday for the meeting.

The event is being organised by the Human Rights Directorate in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police's Centre for Security Research and Studies.
