BharatPe elevates Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl as COO

New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS): Merchant payment network BharatPe on Wednesday announced to elevate Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In his new role, Bahl will lead operations across customer support, deployments-QR, swipe and cards, KYC, loan disbursals and lead generation.

According to the company, he will "incrementally" be responsible for building the distributor-to-retailer lending product for BharatPe.

"We are committed to a high-performance culture at BharatPe. Our talent is our biggest asset and we believe in nurturing and applauding the best in the team," said Ashneer Grover, Co-Founder and CEO, BharatPe.

Prior to joining BharatPe in January this year, Bahl was the Chief Business Officer at Roadzen where he led the organisation across geographies.

He has worked at Airtel Payments Bank and Paytm too.

"I am confident that we will set new benchmarks in customer experience and operations in the fintech industry in the times to come, under his leadership," Grover added.

The company said it has facilitated disbursement of over Rs 400 crore to its merchants since launch and has raised $142.5 million to date.

Aiming to disburse loans worth Rs 1,000 crore in the rest of the financial year 2021, BharatPe said earlier this month that it disbursed loans worth over Rs 80 crore in September alone, making it one of the largest fintech lenders for merchants during the pandemic.
