New Delhi, Apr 26 (IANS): Leading telecom operator Bharti Airtel Sunday launched the Airtel World SIM for international travellers, using which customers can save up to 85 percent on international calls.
"This would enable outbound travellers to retain their local number and calls made on Airtel India number are forwarded on the new Airtel World SIM," Director-Marketing of Bharti Airtel, Shireesh Joshi, said in a statement.
"It costs a fraction of international roaming and customers save up to 85 percent on international calls," he added.
He said this would benefit their 10 million Indian customers who travel abroad annually.
Airtel World SIM also offers a single mobile number which would work across 190 countries. It will be initially available to Airtel customers in Delhi and would later be facilitated for customers across the country.
"They look for a calling product that provides them flexibility and convenience at competitive prices," Joshi added.
