Kuwait : IMA – Youth Wing organizes Grand Youth Conference

Kuwait April 25 : Indian Muslim Association IMA Youth Wing – Kuwait organized a grand Youth Conference on the Qur’anic theme, ‘Minaz Zulumati Ilan Noor (from Darkness to Light).’ at Masjid Al Kabeer, Kuwait City under the patronage of deputy Prime Minister for legal affairs, Ministry of Justice & Minister for Awqaf & Islamic Affairs and in association with the Grand Mosque – State of Kuwait. This event was the closing day concluding ceremony for the various activities IMA Youth Wing had undertaken since last three months under the same theme ‘from Darkness to Light’.

Mohammad Aslam, IMA President, in his inaugural address expressed that most of the human folks at present are plunging into deep darkness and therefore it is the duty of the Muslim Ummah to step in, and in particular this responsibility rests with the youth.  The President of IMA Youth Wing, Arshad Habib welcomed all the participating delegates to the conference and presented the details of the conference and said that all the activities will revolve around the Qur’anic theme, ‘Minaz Zulumati Ilan Noor (from Darkness to Light).’

Jalaluddin Ansar Umri, President Jamat Islam-e-Hind and also a prolific writer, thinker of our age from India who was the chief guest to the conference addressed the guidelines to the youths in his presidential address. He spoke on the subject ‘You are the Hope of the Dawn’ and advised the youths to be beware of the twinkling temporary life in this earth and should concentrate on building faith and character.


















































Ameenul Hasan, a noted Islamic personality from India spoke on the subject ‘Youth Psychology and the Requisite Moral Character’, where he presented a lengthy discourse and stressed that the age between 23 to 55 is a productive period. This is the age where person can contribute to the world, he appealed to the youths to work for the community in various arenas and make their life meaningful and purposeful. Later while speaking on the subject of ‘from Darkness to Light’ he meticulously explained the difference between Darkness & Light in Qur’anic perspective.

Malik Motasim Khan, eminent Islamic thinker from India delivered lecture on the subject ‘Islam versus & False Ideologies’ and ‘Twenty first Century Manifesto of Youth and Priorities’. Abdul Aziz, another well known personality from India shed light on ‘The brightest way of success’ through quotes from Hadith.

Animated Tarana, spot Quiz Competition, Arts & Science Exhibition were the attractions of the Conference.  Waleed Al-Shuaib - Under-Secretary, department of Mosques, Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs appreciated the good work of IMA Youth Wing.  Yusuf Al-Shuaib, Manager-Communities, Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Abdullatif Al-Asfoor, Manager – Masjid Al-Kabeer, Abdul Hameed Al-Bilali, Chairman – Jamiya Bashayer Al-Khair, Khalid Bader- Manager, Jamiya Abdullah Al-Noori, Khalid Al-Saba – Manager, Communities department IPC, Shaikh Ahmed Al-Dabbous – Prominent Scholar were on the dais.  Shri Vinod Kumar, First Secretary, Information & Education, Indian Embassy was the guest of honor and lauded the efforts of IMA Youths and participated in the prize distribution.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of Cricket, Volley Ball, Tug of War teams. Valuable Prizes were also given to the winning students of several Indian Schools winners in Online Essay Competition, Online Quiz Competition and Photography & Drawing competitions.  Trophies were given to the winning schools.  Zabi Khan supervised the prize distribution; Mujahid Umri convened the public program on the concluding day.
