Mangalore, April 27: A cruise ship carrying tourists from the United States of America reached New Mangalore Port on Monday April 26.
The beautiful vessel ‘Nautica’, which set off from Port Klang in Malaysia with 643 passengers and 397 crew members, was the centre of attraction at the port with its massive size and various onboard facilities.
City's well known Lia Travels made the necessary arrangements for the ship’s passengers to visit the main tourist attractions.
They visited St Aloysius Chapel, Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple, Kadri Temple, cashew industry, Thousand Pillar Jain Temple in Moodbidri, the Bahubali statue in Karkala, and several other places based on optional plans.
District-in-charge minister Krishna Palemar along with family members visited the ship and spent some time with the crew. The restaurants, play areas, clubs, and entertainment zones appealed to the minister and his family members.
“It is not a ship, but a small city”, said a family member of the minister. “Everything is inside the ship. We only spent some hours inside it but we wanted to spend some days on it”, he added.
The ship was docked at the port for 12 hours before leaving for Goa.
