Mangaluru, Oct 24: On the occasion of Ayudha Puja, AIMIT blessed all the instruments and machinery here on Friday October 23.
Welcoming the gathering, the maintenance officer, Lancy Pinto said that Ayudha Puja is a unique tradition in India to be grateful for all the help we receive through the usage of machinery. “We at AIMIT bless all our machinery every year for the last many years and this has helped us to make the best use of all the machinery we have,” he said.
Later, the director of the Institute, Dr (Fr) Melwyn Pinto conducted a prayer session. He said that it was important for all to recognise all the blessings and favours the campus receives through people and also through the best use of instruments and machinery. “May the good God continue to bless this institute and may more wonders happen here for all our students,” he prayed. Coconuts were broken as per Indian tradition.
All the machinery, including generators, gymnasia, pump house, transformers and canteen kitchen were blessed by Fr Pinto. Venugopal, electrician of the institute, proposed the vote of thanks.
