Bengaluru, Oct 24: Former minister Priyanka Kharge has asked high -profile BJP candidate from Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency Muniratna to tender an apology to the people of Balnari district.

Kharge stated that Muniratna had insulted the people of Ballari by announcing that he will not allow his constituency to turn into another Ballari. "This is an insult to the people of Ballari. Muniratna has to apologise to them," he insisted.

Priyank was addressing a press meet here on Friday October 23. He said that the BJP leaders were the ones who introduced the Ballari model to the country. He said that Janardhan Reddy was the one who brought disrepute to Ballari and the BJP is now trying to create a similar environment in Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency.

"Muniratna is wrong in saying that people from outside the constituency have arrived in his constituency to meddle with the election. He questioned what right Vijayendra had to remain in Sira being an outsider, and questioned the appointment of outsiders as BJP in-charge functionaries.

Former MP Dhruva Narayana said that Muniratna does not have the moral right to speak about the Congress. He termed as false Muniratna's claim that he and MLC Narayana Swamy were putting together information about the voters here.
