Crime Branch nabs gym owner for cheating


New Delhi, Oct 24 (IANS): The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Saturday arrested a conman for cheating people. The accused has been identified as Rahul Narang (46), who runs a gym in South Delhi and is a graduate from Delhi University.

Narang used to take money from the people on the pretext of selling his luxury cars or properties but he neither returned the money nor sold the cars or properties. One of the victim, to whom Narang promised to sell his six luxury cars, was duped of Rs 1.5 crore.

The complaint was filed by a businessman, a resident of CR Park here, in 2018 alleging that the accused, owner of Olympia Gym, approached him for money and in return gave him a sale letter of six luxury cars but gave only one car. After that the accused neither returned the money nor did he give the cars.

"Rahul Narang, a resident of Greater Kailash, has not only cheated several people but the banks too by mortgaging same property multiple times," said Bhisham Singh, DCP Crime Branch.
