Mangaluru Oct 26: It had been a dream debut for Yasha Shivakumar to bag a Kannada and Tulu movie under a big banner. She makes her debut in Kannada film Padavipoorva and in Tulu film Raj Sounds and Light.
Yasha Shivakumar completed her Computer Science engineering at Alvas College Moodabidiri. She hails from Bengaluru, proud daughter of G H Shivakumar and Renuka.
Yasha Shivakumar started her modelling career with Fashion ABCD headed by Charan Suvarna. Yasha has bagged three crowns in the year 2019 that are Miss Bangalore 2019, Miss Karnataka International 2019 conducted by Fashion ABCD and Miss Glory of Galaxy 2019 in Mumbai.
She is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and is also well versed in other dance forms like Kathak, freestyle, Bollywood, Manipuri and Folk. She has worked with renowned designers and photographers from all over the country.
One year of modelling has changed her career completely which led Yasha Shivakumar step into Sandalwood and Coastalwood film industry.
Yasha Shivakumar is playing the lead role in Hariprasad Jayanna directorial 'Padavipoorva'. She shares screen along with two other debutants Prithvi Shamanur and Anjali Anish. The film is produced by Yograj Bhat and Ravi Shamanur which will go on floors in November 2020.
Apart from Padavipoora, Yasha Shivakumar will also play the lead role in Tulu film 'Raj Sounds and Light' directed by Rahul Amin and the movie is from the makers of Kannada blockbuster Ondu Motteya Kathe. Yasha Shivakumar will play lead opposite VJ Vineeth.
Speaking to Daijiworld.com Yasha Shivakumar said, "In the year 2019 I had given the audition for Padavipoorva after winning the beauty pageant. I was very delighted to bag two movies under the big banner that is Padavipoorva in Kannada and Raj Sounds and Lights in Tulu. Padavipoora movie revolves around 10 pre-university friends set back in '90s where I play the role of an obedient student. My modelling career started from Fashion ABCD, where I was groomed to be a model and won beauty pageant through Fashion ABCD that led me to film industry."
