Qatar, Apr 28: ‘Sahi ree Sahi’, a comedy play directed by renowned actor and director Yashwanth Sirdeshpande was enacted at Gulf Cinema, here recently.
The two and half hours play organized by the Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) was a huge hit attracting as many as 500 people.
Speaking on the occasion, Yeshwant Sirdeshpande acknowledged KSQ for giving an opportunity for presenting his drama in Qatar. Magnificent stage set for the play was erected by Arvind Patil.
A Troupe of 13 artistes had flown from Bangalore to present the play. Popular cinema and TV artiste Malathi Sirdeshpande, wife of Yeshwanth Sirdeshpande also acted in the play.
Manjunath, host for the day welcomed the audience. The welcome song was rendered by Aishwarya Nagesh. A well-known educationist from Karnataka Lakshmi Narayan Bhat was honoured by the Sangha on the occasion.
President of KSQ Arun Kumar proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked all the artiste, committee members and audience for making the event a grand success.
