Hospitals to Get Real-Time Data from Ambulances

Dubai, Apr 29 (IANS/WAM): Hospitals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be able to receive real-time information regarding emergency patients being transported in ambulances, with the launch of a latest connectivity system.

The emergency and accidents department at Dubai's Al Baraha Hospital will be electronically connected with ambulance services via the internet, which will help the hospital receive accurate information about sick and injured patients who are being transferred in ambulances from the accident site, Ahmed Obaid Al Khudaim, hospital director said.

The system will also help doctors and technicians take prompt action and prepare for the case before its arrival, he said.

The new system will also show the patient's medical history and data related to various medical tests, which will help in initial diagnosis of the case and save lot of time.
