Udupi, Oct 28: “Identify DC manna land as soon as possible and inform the details in the next coordination meeting,” said district panchayat president Dinakar Babu to officials of the department of social welfare and revenue.

He was speaking in a revenue level awareness and supervisory committee meeting held at the office of Kundapur subdivision on Tuesday under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 amendment 995 rules 2013 17(a).

“DC manna land should be distributed as per government orders to scheduled caste as soon as possible. Police meetings should be held regularly in Dalit colonies. Bank managers have been found objecting unnecessarily to lend subsidy loans to SC/ST communities under various departments for self-employment purposes. Suitable action should be initiated against such bank managers,” he said.

Kundapur sub division assistant commissioner K Raju and others were present.
