Recoveries outnumber fresh Covid cases in J&K


Srinagar, Oct 30 (IANS): Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported 551 new Covid-19 cases, taking the Union Territory's coronavirus tally to 93,764, while 588 discharges from different hospitals took its total number of recoveries to 85,370.

A statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department said that of the 551 persons who tested positive on Thursday, 197 are from Jammu division and 354 from Kashmir division.

The UT at present has 6,928 active cases, out of which 2,048 are from Jammu division and 4,880 from Kashmir division.

Meanwhile, 11 deaths in the last 24 hours mounted Jammu and Kashmir's Covid death toll to 1,466.
