Kundapur, Oct 31: “The prime minister dreamed of Atma Nirbhar Bharath and called on to implement it all over the country. But the Byndoor MLA opposed it and threw 70 women who were trying to be independent by tailoring work. BJP people should take action against him as otherwise there will be no value to the call of the prime minister. A battle against injustice is in force in Byndoor. The MLA will definitely lose it,” said Udupi district Raitha Sangha spokesperson Vikas Hegde.
He was addressing eighth relay protests held by Kundapur taluk panchayat okkoota and other organizations condemning illegal vacation of ‘Swavalambana’ professional training centre run under SLRM unit of Vandse gram panchayat.
“Byndoor MLA does not know what social justice is. He does not respect the Panchayat raj Act. We see him having no trust in the SLRM unit. It is necessary to condemn illegal atrocities. The policy of dividing and ruling is increasing. Peace is being spoilt. People who are working independently do not get encouragement. Contractors are getting harassed. We cannot close our eyes and sit,” he said.
Former MLA K Gopala Poojary said that new schemes in the state are being put to work first in Udupi. “The vacation of the centre just because Udaya Kumar Shetty did not join their party is condemnable. No place can be vacated between 6 pm and 6 am. But the centre is vacated after 7 pm. We will submit the documents to the court,” he said.
He questioned the MLA about assurances on Medical College, Degree College, engineering college and airport.
