Mangaluru, Nov 1: St Agnes CBSE School celebrated virtually Karnataka Rajyotsava on Sunday November 1 with great vigour and grandeur.

The programme began by invoking God’s blessing through meaningful prayer service followed by the lighting of the lamp by the principal Sr Maria Gracilda AC. Teacher Priya gave a short introduction on the importance of the day and compered the programme. Teacher Chandrika expressed her warmest greetings through a welcome speech. In appreciation to Kannada Nadu, the students of grade VIII and IX depicted the culture of our land through a welcome dance. Anjali Rai of grade VIII expressed the significance of the day in the state language Kannada so as to cherish the wealth of Karnataka.

In addition to this, the creatively prepared backdrop by the teachers added a festive mood of celebration.

In view of Kannada Rajyotsava a variety of competitions were conducted virtually for the students. Students of grade I and II participated in badge making, grade III and IV in fancy dress, students of grade V and VI presented different symbols of Karnataka through a rangoli, grade VII and VIII participated in drawing and pencil sketches of Kannada poets and the students of grade IX wrote an essay on Kannada Rajyotsava.

Through these competitions students were able to showcase and compete to improve their ability.
