Mangaluru: Carmel School observes Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

Mangaluru, Nov 1: On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Carmel School paid rich tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Indian barrister, a leader of the Indian National Congress and a founding father of the Republic of India (1875-1950) who strove for the integrity and unification of mother India.

The faculty organized a morning assembly got it recorded and posted it to all the students. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and a meaningful prayer service invoking God’s Blessings of peace and harmony on our country. This was led by Zeena Menezes and the team. Bharathi gave the significance of the day. Lidwin D’Souza administered the oath taking ceremony and all the staff members pledged to work for unity, integrity, solidarity and the unification of Mother India.

Sister Sarika AC, the prinicipal, Sister Rose Agnes AC, the administrator were present for the programme. The students were asked to take the pledge while viewing the programme.
