Bantwal, Nov 5: “Social Democratic Party of India supporters have ruled gram panchayat for five years and converted it as the model village. They have spent nearly 1.25 crore in various schemes and Rs 1 crore in employment guarantee scheme," said former president of gram panchayat, Mohammed Nasir.
Speaking in Bantwal press club after releasing a pamphlet of the achievements during the last five years he said, "Basic facilities in Sajipanadu village have been provided for people. The gram panchayat has provided drinking water, street lights and drainage facilities and responded to the aspirations of people."
“Free medical examination camps for children, cleanliness drive, poet’s conference etc are held during village festivals. Solutions are provided for waste disposal in the town. Sajipa one-2020 system that provides all the government facilities at one place is being commended by the villagers. The funds of district panchayat, Vidhan Parishad and the party made available during the period have made us glad,” he said.
“Free information and service centre and several bore wells dug are the contributions of the party. Kanchinadka Padavu crematorium became a reality during our term,” he said.
Party district secretary Ashraf Manchi, Sajipanadu gram election committee president S N Abdul Rahman, party village committee president Nawaz Sajipa, Naushad, Iqbal Bailaguthu and others were present.
