Srinagar, Nov 5 (IANS): An encounter has started between the security forces and terrorists at Pampore in South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday night, officials said.
Earlier two persons were injured after terrorists started indiscriminate firing during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) launched by the security forces at Lalpora in Pampore.
Additional police forces have reached the spot and searches are on in the area.
"During the search operation at Lalpora in Pampore, hidden terrorists have been tracked down by joint security forces. Encounter is going on," police said.
