Udupi, Nov 7: District Muslim Okkoota held ‘Life and message of Prophet Muhammad’, a programme, at Chandana auditorium, City Centre Brahmavar, here on Friday November 6.
Moulana U K Abdul Azeez Darimi, Imam of Chokkabettu Jumma Masjid said in his message, “All religions give same message to the world. Prophet Muhammad shares message that make your enemy into friend. The Prophet did not lead his life as a king but lived as common man among public to understand the pulse of people. His name is the most used name in the world. A real human being is one who protects wealth and life of a person and hence becomes a trustworthy person too. One should become voice for others’ problem and wipe the tears of others. The main theme of all religions is same.
“A khalif, who respects God is needed today. Only then a country will be developed. The same message is included in all religions. We need to adopt the same in our lives,” he said.
Isaq Puttur, charted accountant, director, Hira Media Mangaluru, quoting the statement of Prophet Muhammad, Isaq said, “We all have a calculation for our karma or sin. It will not be punished in this birth. If you are not able to do good things for others, do not do injustice to anyone.”
Fr Lawrence David Crasta, parish priest, Saint Mary's Syrian church, said, “All human beings are great, not by their caste but by their character and work. Dharma will take us to a path of truth. One should love his religion and respect other religions. This will help to maintain peace in the world. Humans are born to do good things as representative of God. Let God used humans as his weapon to do good things. There are many religious practices in every religion. They are same but different when coming to practice.”
Muhammad Yasin Malpe, president of Udupi district Muslim Okkoota, presided over the programme.
B N Shankar and Nityananda Shetty, businessmen, Brahmavar, Narendra Kumar Kota, teacher and writer, Shankar A Kundar, former zilla panchayat member, Shyamraj Birthi, district organising president, DSS, and others were present.
