Kerala's test positivity rate stands at 11% amid Covid cases surge


Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 7 (IANS): Even though Kerala reported 7,201 fresh Covid-19 cases, but the state's test positivity rate stands at 11 per cent, health officials said on Saturday.

In a statement issued here by the State Health Minister K.K.Shailaja, "7,120 more people have recovered taking the recoveries to 3,95,624."

The total active case in the state stood at 83,261 and last month for several days the figure was close to one lakh mark.

28 more Covid deaths were reported pushing the total fatalities to 1,668.

Across the state, 3,07,107 people are under observation at various places and it includes 20,785 in hospitals.
