Mangalore: Engineer Commits Suicide in Temple Premises

Mangalore, May 6: Ramesh Kumar (34), working as an engineer in the minor irrigation department of the state government, committed suicide in the city by hanging himself on Wednesday May 5.

Kumar had visited Kadri Temple on Wednesday evening. On that occasion, he visited the temple toilet. He was later found to have ended his life by hanging himself in the toilet.

The deceased is a relative of the city deputy mayor, Rajendra Kumar. A case of unnatural death was registered in Kadri police station. Reasons that drove Ramesh to take this extreme step are unknown as yet.
