Government extends date for filing documents under LLP scheme to Nov 30

New Delhi, Nov 11 (IANS): The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended the due date for belated filing of documents by defaulting LLPs (limited liability partnership) under the LLP scheme.

The scheme is aimed at improving compliance with regulatory filings. It was extended till the end of this calendar year, but defaulting LLPs were permitted to submit documents for filing till August 31 under the scheme.

The relaxation has been made in view of largescale disruption cause by the coronavirus pandemic, MCA said in a circular.

"If a statement of account and solvency for the financial year 2019-2020 has been signed beyond the period of six months from the end of financial year, but not later than November 30, 2020, the same shall not be deemed as non-compliance," it said.
