Kuwait, May 9: Karnataka Muslim Welfare Association (KMWA), Kuwait has conducted a family get-together on 07 May 2010 at Social Reform Society Auditorium Rawda. Hundreds of members from various parts of Karnataka attended the program. Mutimedia Presentation on Qur’an and Science, Slide Presentation on ‘importance of Social Service in prophetic teachings, Quiz with instant prizes to audience, Islamic songs , Book stall and raffle draw were some of the attractions of the event Hasan Yusuf incumbent president of Karnataka Muslim Welfare Association welcomed the gathering and briefed about the activities of KMWA .
Hameed Kuliyar conducted quiz and instant prizes were given to those who gave right answers.
Sharafuddin B.S during slide presentation on ‘importance of social service, in prophetic teachings’ said that sincerity in belief, giving the rights of God and giving the rights of human being’s are three important elements of religion. He further emphasized on third element and explained about the importance of social service in Islam.
Jafar Sadik presented multi media presentation on ‘Islam and Science’ highlighting many prophecies of Quran which is confirmed by modern scientific inventions.
Children and elder’s alike-appreciated English Islamic songs presented through multi media.
There was raffle draw at the end of program in which first prize Kuwait –Mangalore return air ticket, second prize umrah package and the third prize Lexmark all in one printer were distributed to the lucky winners. M/s Premium Care Clinic Salmiya, M/s Hithem Industrial Suppliers Mumbai, M/s Ibrahim Pinto Haj and Umrah services Fahaheel, and Bitco Farwaniya, respectively sponsored the prizes.
Mohammed Aslam, president of Indian Muslim Association during his concluding remarks highlighted the importance of regional association to enhance community service activities.
Program started with recitation of Quran by Minhajuddin and its Kannada translation by Shahul Hameed. Humayun Pasha presented vote of thanks. Omar Salar conducted the program and snacks were distributed at the end.
