Mangaluru, Nov 13: The Faculty Development Programme on 'Statistical Tools for Social Science Research' was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar on the 13th of November 2020.

Dr Chidananda H. L, Assistant Professor, Department of PG Studies and Research in Commerce, S.D.M College (Autonomous) Ujire was the Resource Person.

Prof. J.B. D'Souza, IQAC Coordinator introduced the Resource person and welcomed the gathering. Presidential speech was delivered by Prof. Paul Menezes, chief librarian of the college.

The Resource person in his presentation mentioned the importance of literature review, Population vs Sample, Sampling frame, how to calculate sample size, how to determine margin of error, how to find Z score and Data and Statistical tools. He concluded by demonstrating SPSS software.

Prof Pavana, HOD, Department of M.Com, proposed the vote of thanks and wound up the session.
