Kasargod, Nov 14: A decision on resuming passenger bus services between Kasargod and Mangaluru that were suspended for the last eight months is likely to be taken on Monday. KSRTC bus officials of both the districts will be holding discussions in this connection. Nearly 80 buses of both the states ply between Kasargod and Mangaluru.
The buses were suspended from last week in March due to Coronavirus scare. There were expectations that the buses would resume when the lockdown was relaxed. Thousands of students, employees and patients are facing hardship as bus services are suspended and private passenger vehicles also are banned between the states.
The pressure to resume the services has been growing. The decision on their resumption will be announced on Monday.
