Udupi, Nov 16: A 16-year-old minor girl was sexually assaulted by her neighbour in an incident reported from the city.
The accused in the case has been identified as Sukesh Shetty (23) resident of Kukkikatte here.
He is employed as a bank attender at a private bank in Kaup.
As per reports, Sukesh used to visit the minor teenager's house and promised of marrying her.
Realising the seriousness of the crime being committed by Sukesh, the parents of the minor girl registered a complaint against him at the women's police station in Udupi on November 6. Following which, Sukesh has been now arrested under the POCSO Act.
