Udupi, Nov 16: “Temples can show the path like a guide towards spirituality, culture and tradition. Kodavoor Mahatobara Shankernarayana temple has been opening up the eyes of the villagers in matters of spirituality,” said Kodavoor ward municipal councillor Vijaya Kodavoor.
He was speaking at a programme on November 15 where stickers were released which was part of the Rashipuja programme scheduled at the temple on February 2021.
Kodavoor Saibaba temple president Diwaker Shetty released the stickers and wished that the noble work may proceed with the blessings of the deity and the cooperation of devotees.
Municipal councillor, Srisha Kodavoor said that there is no doubt that the village will progress if temples get down to work with special emphasis towards spirituality. He assured his complete support for Maharathotsava and Rashi Puja.
Malpe fish traders association president, Sadhu Salian, Kodavoor Brahman Mahasabha secretary, Srinivas Bayari, temple managing committee member, A Raja Serigar, K Baba, local alumni association president, Sathish Kodavoor, author Poornima Janardhan, Sandhya Prakash, Sarojini, Iranna Kuruvathi Gowda, Ranjith Kodavoor and Sunil Shetty Kamblakatta were present.
Managing committee president Prakash G Kodavoor welcomed the gathering. Member Janardhan Kodavoor compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks.
