Goa CM comes to aid of stranded Uttarakhand man


Panaji, Nov 16 (IANS): Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has come to the aid of an Uttarakhand resident stranded at Madgaon railway station in South Goa after the latter had tweeted for help to Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

On Sunday evening, Bhawan Singh Gusain of Chamoli had tweeted in Hindi that he was stranded for three days without money and tagged Priyanka for help.

Gusain also tweeted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose office in turn contacted the Goa Chief Minister to come to the stranded person's aid.

"Have directed our police team to provide all necessary help. Please call on...," Sawant tweeted late on Sunday, tagging Priyanka with the post.

On Sawant's instructions, Konkan Railway police booked a ticket for Gusain till Delhi on the Hazrat Nizamuddin Express.

Gusain on Monday posted a 'Thank You' message in Hindi, tagging Sawant.
