Mangaluru, Nov 18: Former cadet, Captain Ashika Shetty of the NCC naval wing of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), here, was commended by the chief minister of Karnataka with a certificate and medal for her exceptional service in NCC during 2019-2020.
Cadet Ashika Shetty joined the NCC naval wing of St Aloysius College NCC subunit in 2017 as a cadet. She attended the first camp of the NCC annual training camp in May 2018. She also attended the NCC attachment camp held at OTA Gwalior in May 2019.
She has participated in the All India Nav Sainik Camp-2018 at INS Kadamba, Karwar from October 14 to 22, 2018 and won silver in SW Boat Pulling, bronze in All India Best Cadet competition and was a part of Champion Directorate 2018.
Besides this, she has secured 'A' Grade in NCC ‘C’ Certificate Examination in 2020.
