Maoists kill 1 in Jharkhand, torch vehicles


Ranchi, Nov 18 (IANS): Maoists in Jharkhand's Lohardagga district killed a staff member of a private construction company involved in making bridges and set ablaze a few vehicles over denial of levy, police said.

The insurgents belonging to the banned CPI-Maoist group raided the camp office of the firm in Perasar early Wednesday. They shot dead 20-year-old 'Munsi' Vikcy Gupta and set three vehicles on fire.
